Journal and Repository Service

Although I believe that the publication culture in Economics and Econometrics is highly inefficient and in need of urgent reform, I continue to contribute my fair share of refereeing and editorial work (see my CV in PDF format for details). That said, I would not currently consider accepting a role as a 'managing editor' for any journal without first engaging in a significant discussion on reforming the editorial process. Together with Frank DiTraglia, we have founded the SQARE initiative, which aims to improve the quality assessment process for Econometrics papers. More details can be found at sqare.org, which also provides some perspective on how I believe the editorial process for major journals could change.
